This record began as a caffeine-fueled vision that bassist, Eric Holden and chromatic harmonica player, Bill Barrett shared in the Fall of 2007 - To record with the world’s most fine and feral harmonica players, to write challenging tunes that would put their unique musical voices in a strange & beautiful light, and create alien melodies and unique grooves to inspire and

confound their harmonica playing brethren.  Together, Eric and Bill wrote, re-wrote and arranged until the songs took sinuous shape.  America Music For Gypsy Souls is the result of 3 years of joyous suffering and the soulful contributions of many bad-ass players from around the globe. 

 

American Music For Gypsy Souls is Bill Barrett on Chromatic Harmonica and Eric Holden on Bass.
